Now that you have your resignation letter written, you have to give it to your employer. For most people, this is the hardest part.

Who to Give Your Resignation Letter To

Ideally, you should schedule a meeting with your supervisor when you have decided to quit. This meeting gives you a chance to deliver the news in person and  have a conversation about your departure. Resigning over email is less formal but is also acceptable.

Start tying up any loose ends at work. Complete any unfinished projects, clean out your desk, and start saying goodbye to your colleagues.

What To Do After Handing In Your Resignation Letter

You will likely spend your last two weeks training your replacement and handing off any unfinished work to them. Thank your coworkers for their help and support, and exchange contact information if you'd like to stay in touch.
