Fun Places To Set Up Your Wedding Registry

Once your bae has popped the question and the engagement has begun, there are lots of to-do’s to take care of! Between making your guest list, touring venues, and sampling cake flavours, you’ll also want to find time to set up your wedding registry. While you’re more than welcome to opt for a traditional registry through Target or Bed Bath and Beyond, there are plenty of places to register that are a little more fun! If you are struggling to come up with ideas to put on your registry, we have 10 pages of creative wedding registry items that you can draw upon to find the right fits for your relationship.

Here are a handful of my favourites:

Fun Places to Set Up Your Wedding Registry

Etsy

This virtual marketplace for all things handmade is the perfect place to register if you’re on a mission to fill your home with personalized odds and ends. You’ll find everything from coffee mugs and tea towels to artwork to brighten your walls. As an added bonus, your guests will be supporting small businesses instead of the traditional big-box shops.

REI

Perfect for the couple who loves to bike, hike, fish, climb and otherwise spend their spare time adventuring, REI is a one-stop shop for all things outdoors. Instead of filling your registry with china and cutlery, add a camping stove or a snug sleeping bag. Your guests will be excited to know they’ve played some small part in your next big adventure, and you’ll end up with stuff you’ll actually use to make memories.

Honeyfund

Want to go on the honeymoon of your dreams but don’t have the cash to make it happen? Set up Honeyfund or a similar service in lieu of a traditional registry and let your guests contribute toward your first big adventure as a married couple. Once considered a bit of a faux paux, asking for funds to put toward your honeymoon isn’t all that strange anymore, so don’t be afraid to ask for experiences instead of stuff!

JustGive

For the couple already blessed with a home full of stuff and enough cash in your bank account to feel comfortable, consider allowing your guests to make charitable donations to causes you support. Start your married life with a little extra karma and make the world a better place? Sign me up!

ACME Wines

Couples who consider themselves wine connoisseurs should consider registering with ACME Wines or a similar wine delivery service. Let your friends and family stock your cellar to celebrate the big day and raise a glass to your new lives together as a wedded couple.

Blueprint

Stuck on which registries you’d like to create? Consider setting up a registry through Blueprint, a service that allows you to incorporate gifts from multiple retailers in one consolidated place. And you aren’t restricted to physical gifts from major retailers or gift cards – you can also use Blueprint to ask for cash gifts to put toward your honeymoon, first home together, or whatever else your heart desires!

There are dozens of websites and platforms ready to help you assemble your wedding registry, but it’s up to you to choose the one that’s best for you.

  1. Honeyfund looks wonderful! Our budget for our wedding almost ate up a part of our honeymoon travel even though we’re not looking for a big wedding. Honeyfund looks like a great way for us to still pursue our dream honeymoon vacation.
